- Kirsty is currently on maternity leave as she cares for newborn daughter Matilda. Kirsty and husband
Damien Welch's second child (Matilda is a little sister for 4-year-old Oscar) was born on 31 July. Kirsty plans to return
to the stage in 2010. Congratulations!

A huge congratulations to Kirsty, who recently
received the prestigious Prix Benois de la Danse award for Oustanding Ballerina, for her performances in
Manon last year. The award is the top prize in a competition founded by the International Dance Association in 1991.

- Announcing The Australian Ballet's 2010 Season!!! And what an exciting one it looks to be, can't wait to see our

Welcome to the world, little Matilda Welch!!!
Kirsty and Damien's second child was born
on 31 July, weighing in at a healthy 3 lbs 3oz. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the happy parents and big brother Oscar!
The AB today announced Kirsty will take the rest of this year off to look after baby Matilda, but plans to return to the stage next year.
25 June - Just
letting everyone know, I'm going on holidays to Europe for 4 weeks on Saturday so won't be able to update the site for
that time. Maybe Kirsty will have her baby while I'm away! If not, very soon after I get back... see you then :)
22 June- I
found 7 gorgeous photos from After the Rain, which was Steven Heathcote's last performance in 2007. They are amazing, enjoy!
13 June- A
huge congratulations to Kirsty on receiving the prestigious Prix Benois de la
Danse award!!! A fantastic achievement - Kirsty received the award for her performances in Manon last

Yesterday was (Kirsty's) final day at the Australian Ballet for a while —
a day of cards, cake, coffee and affectionate farewells. "I'm in stretch-out mode," she says.
We'd like to add to those affectionate farewells: GOOD LUCK KIRSTY!!!
